Richard Karlinski ’40
is still going
strong at 90 years old. Retired and living
alone with the help of six children; five
boys and one girl.
Edger Hoffman ’42
and his wife Patricia
are celebrating 65 years of marriage with
their 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 5
great grandchildren.
Salvatore Termini ’42
and his wife
Sandy will be celebrating their 60th
wedding anniversary on November 14,
2013. They have 3 children and
2 grandchildren.
Lucian Parlato ’43
just renewed his law
practice license for two more years.
Donald Pinkle ’44
is an adjunct
professor at California Polytechnic State
University, San Luis Abispo, CA where he
teaches biology to seniors and graduate
students. He and his wife Cathryn have
10 children and 16 grandchildren.
Kaliel Sheheen ’44
is still enjoying
retirement and traveling.
Peter Ebner ’46
is enjoying retirement.
This year Peter and Jean celebrated their
61st wedding anniversary with their
family including their 8 grandchildren
and 4 great grandchildren.
Chester Pawenska ’47
and his wife
Helen celebrated their 60th wedding
Anniversary with family and friends in
Naples, Florida and at the Park Country
Club of Buffalo inMay of 2012.
John Cahill ’48
is still practicing law
full time in Los Angeles, CA. with a full
trial calendar.
David Zimpfer ’48
retired from
Kent State University in 1996. He
was professor and chairman of the
Counseling & Personnel Services
Department. He previously worked at
Rutgers University and the University
of Rochester. He was also business
advisor for the Association for Counselors
Education and Supervision from
1999-2010.
Vincent Christ ’49
made an excellent
pilgrim visit to Israel inMay this year
and walked the path of Jesus on several
occasions in the Holy Land.
Fr. John Carriero, S.J. ’50
,
has been a
counselor at McQuaid Jesuit since 1966
and continues his Jesuit ministry each
summer at a parish in California.
James Denny ’50
and his wife Sherri,
on a fall visit to Ireland, found his great
great great grandfather’s house in County
Tipperary. It was standing but not
habitable. It is a two story stone house
with a slate roof. Jim brought a piece of
slate home with him.
Deacon Robert L. Morris ’50
has 13
grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Kenneth Schwarz ’50
retired from
Amoco and the State of Maryland as a
career project geologist in 2001.

is still working
full time.
John Morrissey ’51
is retired and
playing from the senior tees but
still active.
MecislausWendzikowski ’51
is
enjoying almost 20 years of retirement.
Charles Henry ’52
works part time at
Bradenton Country Club. His health is
good and is still active playing golf and
bowling.
Joseph Mercurio ’52,
retired from the
IRS in 1990. He was ordained as a
Permanent Deacon in the Buffalo
Diocese in 1992. He celebrated 51 years
of marriage onMay 30, 2013 to Marlene
Mackenna. They have 4 sons and 9
grandchildren, the latest born April.
Stephen DiPasquale ’52
and his wife
Frances celebrated 55 years of marriage
on June 29, 2012 with their family
including 14 grandchildren, 6 great
grandchildren. Stephen retired from
Pfizer after 34 years as a Senior Medical
Representative.
Ronald Orlowski ’53
and his wife,
Veronica, celebrated 53 years of marriage
last July and welcomed the birth of their
8th grandchild.
Donald Jankowski ’54
and his wife
Lorraine were honored by their children
on the occasion of their 50th wedding
anniversary. Dan is retired fromBrown
Shoe Company.
Msgr. James Kelly ’54
retired in 2012
as pastor of St. Margaret’s Parish in
Buffalo. He is now at Cardinal O’Hara
Residence in the Town of Tonawanda.
Thomas Myers ’54
is still semi-retired
fromhis law firm and enjoys spending
time with his 11 grandchildren and
taking time off to relax at his place in
Kingsville, Ontario on Lake Erie.
Thomas Cunningham ’55
is retired
and has been a volunteer at Gilford, NH
Library for 21 years and Largo, FL Library
for 11 years.
Robert Larzelere ’55
is fully retired
and stays busy with volunteer work and
frequent travel. Very proud of school’s
accomplishments in 2012-13. Beat
St. Joe’s!
DavidWrontiak ’55
has been retired
from teaching in theWilliamsville School
District since June 1996.
Fr. Joseph Godfrey, S.J. ’56,
the Joseph
Hogan Chair in Philosophy at St. Joseph’s
University, recently published
Trust
of People, Words and God: A route for
Philosophy of Religion
(Notre Dame, IN:
University of Notre Dame Press, 2012).
Fr. James Lackenmier ’56
was
appointed superior of the Holy Cross
Fathers’ Retirement Community in
Cocoa Beach, FL in the summer of 2012.
Paul Prozeller ’56
and his wife went on
a two week pilgrimage to the Holy Land
and did extensive touring of Israel.
Ronald Zielin ’56
just returned from
Vietnamwhere he participated on a
dental mission trip with dental students.
John Marszalek ’57,
Executive Director
of the Ulysses S. Grant Association
designated its collection the Ulysses S.
Grant Presidential Library. It remains at
Mississippi State University.
Karl Meilenger ’57
is currently retired
and enjoying his first great grandchild,
Benjamin Nolen.
MurrayMintz ’57
is semi-retired from
teaching. He is the executive director
of the Florida Association for Theatre
Education and Organization of Florida
Association for Theatre Education
(FATE’S) theatre teachers.
