For their efforts, Kreuz, Avery and Weir earned
individual All-Catholic honors and will have the
opportunity to compete in the New York State
Federation Championships next spring.
Cross Country
After winning the regular-season title, the Canisius
cross country team put an exclamation point on
its season with a dominating performance at the
All-Catholic Championships. Ryan Bogdan ’12
finished first in the race followed by four of his
teammates.
By sweeping the first five individual places, the
team’s score of 15 points is the lowest possible
score in cross country. Bogdan, along with Will
Deuschle ‘14, Jack Curran ’12 and Billy Christ
’14, were named to the All-Catholic First Team.
Andrew Heitzhaus ’15 and Max Patterson ’12
were awarded All-Catholic Second Team honors.
Soccer

short as they dropped a 1-0 decision to St. Joe’s in

tense struggle, but St. Joe’s scored with three
minutes remaining in the match. Matt Hart ’12 led
the team in scoring, while CJ Montante ’12, Kevin
